Older Apple MacBook Air M2 and M3 models are still available through third-party platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, but Apple’s official stores now focus solely on the new MacBook Air M4
Apple has officially discontinued the MacBook Air M2 and M3 models, replacing them with the new Apple MacBook Air M4, the latest addition to its popular laptop lineup. This updated version, which brings enhanced features at a slightly more affordable price, now stands as the most budget-friendly entry-level laptop available directly from Apple.
While the older Apple MacBook Air M2 and MacBook Air M3 models are still available through third-party platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart, they are no longer offered at Apple’s official stores, marking the shift toward the latest MacBook Air M4 release.
The MacBook Air M4 is now the most powerful and feature-rich model in the series. The 13-inch base variant starts at Rs 99,900, featuring 16GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A flat Rs 10,000 discount is available on select bank cards, lowering the price to Rs 89,900, while students can take advantage of an additional Rs 10,000 discount.
New configurations and enhanced graphics
For those requiring more storage or higher performance, the Apple laptop updates include variants with 512GB of storage, priced at Rs 1,19,900, and a top configuration with 24GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, priced at Rs 1,39,900. Apple has also introduced a 15-inch variant of the MacBook Air M4, starting at Rs 1,24,900. This model comes with a 10-core GPU for improved performance compared to the 13-inch version's 8-core GPU.
Both the 13-inch and 15-inch models are fan-less and passively cooled, offering silent operation but with the potential for performance throttling during extended use.
With the MacBook Air 2025 update, Apple continues to push the boundaries of its thin and lightweight laptops, providing users with new features like improved graphics performance and a better display. The MacBook Air M4 release is now available for pre-order and will officially go on sale starting March 12. For the best experience, customers are encouraged to purchase from Apple-authorized resellers or the Apple Store directly.
