ArrayShield has rolled out a new version of its flagship IDAS Authentication Platform 2.0, claimed to be the latest version of its authentication server. IDAS Platform has a RADIUS interface as well as the XML API, IDAS 2.0 is expected to allow developers and network professionals to integrate secure, pattern based two factor authentications into any web-based application or RADIUS enabled device.
The in-built RADIUS interface is supposed to allow IDAS to be integrated with all leading VPNs from providers like Sonicwall, Fortigate, Cisco, Juniper, Cyberoam, Watchguard, Checkpoint etc. to provide secure remote access to all its users.
ArrayShield Pattern Based Two Factor Authentication is a method that is believed to be cost-efficient and easy to use. It is said to use sequential pattern recognition and a translucent card to reliably identify users. Users are supposed to choose a memorable pattern (sequence of cells on the array) as their secret and carry a unique translucent card that masks the grid displayed on the screen. Every time they log on, they are believed to be presented with a challenge Array of random characters, which will be displayed on their computer screen. They then is supposed to overlap the Arraycard and enter those values that are present in their remembered pattern, creating a secure, one-time secret-code at every login.
