
Atos has acquired three companies to enhance its service offering portfolio.
A report says, by acquiring Processia, Quebec based lifecycle management system integrator and Dassault systems service partner. With this acquisition, Atos will enhance its capabilities to support manufacturing companies on their transformation journey and adoption of Industry 4.0 technologies, in line with its industry-specific strategy.
Through Processia, Atos will reinforce its PLM and Engineering Solutions franchise, complementing its current offerings of Siemens, PTC and Dassault Systèmes services, and expand the Group’s footprint in North America and in Europe, especially in Belgium, Canada, France, India, the Netherlands, the UK and the US.
The second company Atos has acquired is UK-based Ipsotek, a leading AI enhanced video analytics software provider. With this acquisition, Atos, already a major player in Edge AI/ML and more specifically Edge Vision, will strategically reinforce its leading position in Edge and Computer Vision by adding key software capabilities and IP to its solutions portfolio.
Established in 2001 and based in London, Ipsotek offers a scalable AI platform, VISuite, that enables users to efficiently manage automatically-generated alerts in real-time, and can be used across a range of use cases including crowd management, smoke detection, intrusion detection, perimeter protection, number plate recognition and traffic management. VISuite also provides multi-camera tracking capabilities. The company has executed more than 600 projects in 38 countries. The acquisition will add a highly skilled team of approximately 50 professionals to Atos.
Atos’ and Ipsotek’s combined capabilities will create a unique proposition across the entire value chain for the public sector, retail, manufacturing, transportation, and critical infrastructure sectors and make them a partner of choice in the computer vision market.
The third company been acquired by Atos is German based cryptography specialist cryptovision GmbH , with this Atos will strengthen its cybersecurity .
Cryptovision is a leader in state-of-the-art cryptographic products and solutions for securing digital identities. This acquisition will strengthen Atos’ cybersecurity product lines and boost the company’s business in the public sector and defense market in Europe.
Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, cryptovision designs, develops and implements cryptography software, security solutions and hardware products. Its unique solutions are made in Germany, certified by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and accredited by the NATO. The company has a proven track-record of successfully addressing organizations’ digital security challenges, in particular those in the public and defense sectors, as well as other sectors with highly demanding regulations and security standards.
The combination of the two companies will enable numerous synergies in their go-to-market approach. Atos will benefit from cryptovision’s strong network of resellers and global technology partnerships in the e-ID markets. cryptovision will benefit from Atos’ trusted relationship with European government customers and the Group’s ability to deliver end-to-end integrated solutions on national and international scale.
Atos SE has acquired these three companies after it drops the idea of acquiring US rival DXC Technology, worth more than $10 billion. Atos completed in 2020 a series of bolt-on acquisitions in a bid for its mid-term revenues to reach a 65% share in digital, cloud, security and decarbonisation.
