The expansion allows India-based customers to purchase software and services in Indian Rupees with local invoicing and simplified tax compliance, while enabling domestic ISVs and partners to list and sell offerings more seamlessly through AWS Marketplace.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the expansion of AWS Marketplace in India, allowing customers in the country to procure software and services in Indian Rupees (INR). The move is aimed at simplifying procurement through local invoicing, local payment options and streamlined tax compliance.
With this launch, India-based Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Consulting Partners can now list and sell their solutions in INR, reducing friction in enterprise purchasing cycles. AWS Marketplace currently features more than 30,000 transactable listings globally across over 70 categories, including Security, Agentic AI and Tools, DevOps, and Data & Analytics.
Customers in India can purchase offerings from providers such as Cisco, CrowdStrike, Deloitte, Freshworks, IBM, Palo Alto Networks, Salesforce and Sonata Software, among others, in INR.
