B. Santhoshi, wife of Col. Santhosh Babu appointed as Commercial tax officer in Telangana
Colonel B Santhosh Kumar was killed-in-action in the India-China face-off. Now his wife has been appointed as a commercial tax officer for government of Telangana.
The Chief Minister K ChandraShekar Rao visited the family of Colonel B Santhosh Babu in Suryapet district. The state head handed over a cheque of Rs 4 crore to B. Santhoshi as ex gratia and Rs 1 crore to B Upender and Manjula, parents of the colonel. This is besides a piece of land near KBR park in Hyderabad and a government job of group-1 rank. Telangana Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has issued the appointment orders.
Chief Minister KCR paid his respect to the martyred Officer and inquired about the well-being of his children. He also announced financial aid of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of soldier killed in action.
