Brocade has announced fibre innovation with Brocade Fabric Vision technology that will provide levels of visibility and insight into the storage network. Brocade Fabric Vision technology is a tool to enhance Gen 5 Fibre Channel portfolio with industry’s highest density fixed configuration SAN switch along with enhancements to its fabric management software .
The new switch, Brocade 6520 Switch, boosts the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of Gen 5 Fibre Channel solutions. It will also enable Brocade for the deployment of products based on the 16 Gbps Fibre Channel standards.
Brocade has also planned to develop new SAN solutions based on Gen 6 Fibre Channel Technology. In addition, the company is working closely with its storage partners to lead efforts in the OpenStack community to ensure that ongoing customer investments in Fibre Channel SANs are protected as enterprises and service providers move to cloud orchestration frameworks, such as OpenStack, in their data centers.

The Fabric Vision Technology includes policy-based tools to simplify fabric-wide threshold configuration and monitoring, management tools, monitoring tools, cable and optic diagnostic features that simplify the deployment and support of large fabrics.
