Available for both prepaid and postpaid users, this initiative simplifies onboarding and supports BSNL’s aggressive 4G expansion and upcoming 5G rollout, targeting 100,000 4G sites and urban 5G launches by June 2025.
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has rolled out a new doorstep SIM delivery service combined with a digital self-KYC process, enabling users to get SIM cards at home and activate them online. This user-friendly initiative is available for both prepaid and postpaid connections and is designed to attract new customers while enhancing service for existing ones.
To access the BSNL online KYC service, users can visit the official portal https://sancharaadhaar.bsnl.co.in/BSNLSKYC , where they simply need to enter their name, pincode, and an alternate mobile number. An OTP-based verification process follows, ensuring a secure and swift experience. The platform also allows users to specify whether the SIM is for themselves, a family member, or someone else.
The launch is part of BSNL’s broader revival strategy, which has gained momentum after adding 2.9 million new subscribers in July 2025, following tariff hikes by private telecom operators. This move supports BSNL’s aggressive expansion of 4G services, with a target of deploying 100,000 4G sites nationwide and rolling out 5G services in urban areas by mid-2025.
By eliminating the need for in-store visits and streamlining SIM registration and activation, BSNL is positioning itself as a competitive and tech-forward player in India’s dynamic telecom sector. For queries, users can reach BSNL’s helpline at 1800-180-1503.
