
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), in collaboration with the DGST Group, hosted a conference for IT traders at the NDMC Convention Centre, Connaught Place, New Delhi. The event, themed “7 Years of India’s GST – Stakeholders' Experiences and the Road Ahead”, was led by Member of Parliament and CAIT Founder & General Secretary, Praveen Khandelwal, along with renowned tax law expert Advocate Sushil K. Verma.
The conference saw participation from prominent figures including Vipin Ahuja, President, CAIT Delhi; Advocate (CA) Rakesh Garg; Advocate Narender Ahuja; CA Renu Sharma; Advocate Bharat Bhushan Dewan; Neetika Khanna; Advocate Rajmani Jindal; CA Vijay Kapoor; CA Rajiv Jain; CA Rashmi Jain; Advocate Virender S. Yadav; Advocate Yugal Goyal, and CMDA President Puneet Singhal.
The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony and a tribute to the late Raj Batra, a respected member of the CA community and former GST Council member.
In his keynote address, Mr. Khandelwal shared insights from discussions with senior government officials, advocating for more such events nationwide to capture on-ground realities and address traders' concerns regarding GST. He urged stakeholders to organise similar conferences across all state capitals to enhance awareness and engagement among the trading community.
DGST Group Leads Knowledge Sessions on GST
The event featured comprehensive technical sessions conducted by GST experts from the DGST Group, focusing on critical aspects such as invoice management, penalties, classification of goods and services, and input tax credit mechanisms. Each speaker provided in-depth guidance, aiming to clarify complex regulations and resolve practical challenges faced by traders.
The conference served as a meaningful platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing, and policy feedback, reaffirming the importance of continuous stakeholder engagement as GST continues to evolve.
