The expanded partnership aims to provide fully managed, end-to-end sovereign cloud services that integrate compliance, resilience and AI innovation, helping enterprises balance regulatory requirements with digital transformation across industries and geographies.
Capgemini has strengthened its long-standing partnership with Microsoft to deliver a fully integrated managed cloud services model focused on digital sovereignty, regulatory compliance and operational resilience. The collaboration is designed to help enterprises adopt Microsoft’s Sovereign Cloud portfolio and AI technologies while maintaining control over data, risk and governance.
The companies said the enhanced alliance will provide clients with structured guidance and end-to-end solutions that embed sovereignty into every stage of business and digital transformation. By combining Capgemini’s industry expertise with Microsoft’s sovereign cloud capabilities, the initiative aims to support organisations navigating increasingly complex regulatory and geopolitical environments.
Embedding sovereignty into digital strategy
As part of the engagement, Capgemini will support enterprises in defining and executing their digital sovereignty strategies. This includes conducting assessments to establish sovereignty goals, evaluate risk exposure and develop actionable roadmaps tailored to specific operational and regulatory needs.
The offering will allow organisations to operate seamlessly across Microsoft’s sovereign public, sovereign private and national partner cloud environments. It also incorporates resilience planning to ensure business continuity in the face of cyber incidents, regulatory changes or geopolitical disruptions.
“Leaders are making critical decisions in an increasingly complex environment where innovation must be balanced with sovereignty and compliance. By deepening our partnership with Microsoft, we intend to bring together the experience and innovative AI solutions clients need to make decisions with confidence,” said Aiman Ezzat, CEO of Capgemini. “As a trusted AI-led technology and business transformation partner to our clients, Capgemini helps organizations embed sovereignty throughout the full transformation lifecycle, enabling them to move forward while managing risk and meeting compliance requirements.”
Judson Althoff, CEO, Microsoft commercial business, added: “Sovereignty has become mission critical for organizations that want to fully realize the promise of cloud and AI while maintaining full control over their data and operations. Through the collaboration with Capgemini, we intend to deliver tailored solutions for the Microsoft Sovereign Cloud spanning sovereign public, sovereign private, and national partner clouds that empower organizations, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful business impact with the assurance that their data and AI systems remain protected and compliant.”
Industry-focused solutions and long-term collaboration
The expanded partnership will target sectors including financial services, public sector, defence, telecommunications, life sciences, manufacturing and critical infrastructure. Planned capabilities include sovereignty-by-design AI transformation, integrated risk and compliance management, operational resilience frameworks and AI-powered data protection services.
Capgemini and Microsoft have collaborated for over two decades. In 2024, Capgemini and Orange also launched Bleu in France, a trusted cloud initiative built on Microsoft technologies to serve public sector and essential service organisations.
