Casa Systems, a leading provider of cloud-native network solutions for Tier 1 and regional service providers globally, has appointed telecom industry veteran Sanjay Kaul as its Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
Kaul, who joins Casa Systems from Cisco, brings a wealth of experience to the company. At Cisco, he served as Vice President and General Manager, APJC, Service Provider Sales, successfully growing market share double digits over the past nine-plus years. His contributions also included leading co-development initiatives with major service providers across Asia Pacific and Japan. He has previously served as Managing Director, Cisco, India and South Asia. Kaul's extensive career encompasses various roles at Ericsson, including Executive Vice President, Bharti Group.
Casa Systems, focused on supporting the industry's virtualized, cloud-native future, considers Kaul's deep credentials in telecom, enterprise, and IT as a valuable addition to its executive team. Michael Glickman, Casa Systems CEO, expressed excitement about having Kaul on board, highlighting his history of driving value creation in complex customer environments.
"“As we hone the focus of our business on supporting the industry’s virtualized, cloud-native future, Sanjay’s tremendous telecom, enterprise and IT credentials will be an invaluable asset to our executive team,” said Michael Glickman, CEO, Casa Systems. “Sanjay has a well-established history of driving value creation in complex customer environments such as the ones we serve, and I am excited to have him on board for the many developments we have ahead."
In his own words, Kaul expressed enthusiasm about joining Casa Systems at a pivotal time for both the company and the industry. He commended Casa Systems for pushing technology forward and driving innovation across its portfolio, emphasizing the team's potential contribution to the future of cloud-native infrastructure.
This announcement coincides with the upcoming retirement of Chief Customer Officer Alfred "Alf" de Cárdenas.
To facilitate Sanjay Kaul's transition into his new role, de Cárdenas will support him through the end of the year. Casa Systems' Board has approved an inducement award to Kaul, consisting of 1,000,000 restricted stock units (RSUs). These RSUs will vest in equal installments over four years, starting on November 20, 2024, subject to Kaul's continued service with the company.
Casa Systems anticipates that Sanjay Kaul's wealth of experience will play a crucial role in the company's ongoing growth and success in the dynamic telecommunications landscape.
