ChatGPT technology has the potential to be disruptive in many industries, from customer service and e-commerce to content creation and more. A report says, Microsoft has added ChatGPT tech to Bing, their search engine service after investing billions into artificial intelligence.
Data Analysts say that the year 2023 is going to witness more than 1000 different forms of ChatGPT/Intelligent AI to be introduced by many, targeting various segments for intelligent search. This will remain as a product of Microsoft unlike others. Going forward, it could pose a threat to Google as DeepMind, a Google subsidiary, is one of the most dominant and successful companies in the world.
DeepMind is considering its chatbot, Sparrow, for a “private beta” sometime in 2023. At the same time, Microsoft's Bing search engine, powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT, is now open for beta testing. Interested users can sign up to receive an invitation from Microsoft, which has already begun sending out invites to select users across the world.
The ChatGPT-powered Microsoft Bing tool showed inaccurate results in a demo last week. It is to be noted that the tool also showed fake answers in terms of net sales growth of a company. Reason being it collects only information that is currently available in the web, and few things it also collects from the darkweb.
Analysts have warned about the dangers of ChatGPT, like giving out misinformation, being a threat to many professions like journalism and helping people plagiarise academic assignments. It is time to wait and watch how search technology is going to evolve.
