Head of Channels and Growth Technologies - India & SAARC, Check Point Software Technologies
“Our key aim in designing our Partner Program was to ensure that it would be simple, easy to adopt, transparent and focused on a ‘win-win’ partnership. We reached out to hundreds of partners globally to seek their feedback on building a robust partner program that helped us to construct the program.”
Channel partnership is at the center of Check Point’s strategy since it is a 100% channel-driven company. The company’s mission is to provide the best security while giving possibilities for partners to grow and become more successful. With the new initiatives in the partner program, Check Point is doubling on its commitment to helping partners earn new business and strengthen relationships with existing clients. The focus for the Partner Growth Program is to grow and reward partners, place clear objectives, and build a robust ecosystem to keep the world safe, and to accelerate partner’s ability to win early and often.
Check Point firmly believes that the partner ecosystem is critical to scaling its business and so it views its partners in India as an extension of the team. This also means extending resources to its partners, ensuring that all are equipped to succeed together. This includes training where salespeople can get trained at essentially no cost to the solution provider. Check Point has doubled its investment in India whether it is from a channel coverage or channel development perspective. The partner team size has doubled and so have its investments in its joint GTM strategy with partners. For instance, Check Point Partner MAP is an exclusive Partner Portal designed to provide partners with centralized access to Partner Program benefits, ranging from obtaining quotes on renewals and new product purchases to accessing co-operative marketing funds programs.
The current Check Point Partner Program is centered on an activity-based tier criteria that rewards partners for taking actions that strengthen their bond with customers. Basically, partners are assigned to various tiers based on their technical proficiencies and sales engagements. The rewards and recognitions are in line with the extent of a partner’s investment in their Check Point business practice.
Channel Roadmap
In India, Check Point aims to be the most preferred and profitable cybersecurity solutions vendor for its partners. It looks to grow its partner community with new partners based on strategic alignment and ability to execute and to continue being a 100% focused channel-driven company as Check Point has been for the last 29 years.
