Cisco has won two honours in the Enterprise Infrastructure category at the 2013 Frost & Sullivan, India, Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Awards. Cisco bagged the Unified Communications Application Vendor and Video Conferencing Equipment Vendor Awards for the performing year 2012.
Positioned as a single-point vendor for all end-to-end collaboration solutions, Cisco has a strong mindshare as a major vendor offering IP communications, messaging, conferencing and collaboration, and contact centre applications, in addition to networking solutions. Cisco’s collaboration portfolio includes a comprehensive unified communications (UC) suite, which covers voice, video, instant messaging (IM)/Presence and other UC applications. Depreciation of the local currency, political/regulatory instability, and reduced spending from the government sector and other key verticals, resulted in 2012 being a lean period for Indian enterprise services and solution providers.

The video conferencing market in India grew 10.3 per cent in CY2012 and the adoption of video conferencing solutions in the small and medium business (SMB) segment increased tremendously.
