Gokul Tandan, Managing Director, CloudConnect finds an opportunity in the current Indian SME landscape. He speaks up his mind and shares about their target verticals, go-to-market strategy, challenges faced by them and their future plans.
Sharing his views on the current market scenario, GokulTandan says,“We believe that India's burgeoning SME landscape is currently ripe for large-scale technological disruption. As the country stands at the cusp of digital transformation, the opportunities for a forward-looking brand such as CloudConnect are immense. We are committed to the evolution of SMEs that are largely underserved as compared to corporates that are well catered to by leading MNOs and telecom companies. Through our end-to-end cloud and mobile app-based PBX, we help small-scale companies upgrade to next-gen communication solutions, allowing them to work more seamlessly.”
Target Verticals
Catering to every type of business CloudConnect claims to be India's first fully regulatory compliant mobile-first virtual network operator. Tandan comments, “We are catering to all businesses that have a sales force, field force or support teams and are looking to track employee KPIs, KRAs, and ROIs, while also boosting customer satisfaction through seamless, tech-enabled communication. As India's first fully regulatory compliant mobile-first virtual network operator, we are currently operating only within the Delhi/NCR circle. Therefore, we are already present in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, etc. Going forward, we plan to expand our footprint across 10 circles by the end of next year.”
Go-To-Market Strategy
Tandan is very hopeful about CloudConnect as it is the only company that is offering a cloud-hosted PBX solution in India. He claims, “We are also the only brand that is licensed to converge VoIP with PSTN, which definitely gives us the first-mover advantage in terms of technological disruption. We have a 360-degree marketing program wherein digital marketing is our key differentiator. Apart from that, we are also deploying physical teams for feet-on-street marketing and delving into telesales as part of our robust customer acquisition program.”
Challenges
Tandan believes that the first-mover in any industry faces challenges. “Being the first-mover in any industry is always a challenge in itself. We need to focus a lot of our resources on customer awareness and education. They need to understand how our solution works and how it will help their business. Fortunately, businesses and entrepreneurs are becoming more tech-savvy and are using various VoIP applications today. Therefore, they know how it works and only need to understand how it helps.”
CloudConnect has overcome this challenge by creating several videos and infographics that will help customers understand that the technology will enhance their operations and ROIs. Tandan says they do not offer a service, they offer a solution.
Plans in 2020
With a presence in Delhi, Noida, Faridabad, Ghaziabad CloudConnectplans to acquire as many customers in Delhi/NCR. Overall, they aim to have around 2000 customers across geographies by the end of this year.
