COMPASS to organize tech fair in Kolkata
2015-01-27COMPASS (Computer Association of Eastern India) has announced that the annual Information Technology Fair – COMPASS 14-15 – will commence from February 13 to 16, 2015 at the Netaji Indoor Stadium & Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata. The entry to the tech fair would be by invitation, tickets and free registration at the official website.
Pawan Jajodia, President, COMPASS, said, “COMPASS 14-15 Tech Fair has once again been shifted to the Netaji Indoor Stadium with Khudiram Anushilan Kendra, Kolkata following popular demand from the participants and the public. This year, The Tech Fair is supported by association partner NASSCOM and powered by CeBIT India, which is, for the first time, helping COMPASS to organize a world-class paid seminar on the futuristic and hot topics like “Internet of Things” and “The COMPASS Mega Tech Fair provides a platform to big and small companies and industry to showcase their products. On the other side, the end-users get an excellent opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest technology and trends in the IT sector. This year, there would be 100 stalls and 20 pavilions. Brands like DELL (main sponsor), HP and AMD (co-sponsors) along with top international brands like LENOVO, CANON, BROTHER, WESTERN DIGITAL, ACER and others are participating in it. WORLD-CLASS SEMINAR: COMPASS 14-15 Tech Fair will organize a world-class seminar on “Internet of Things” (IOT) and “Cyber Security” with the support of CeBIT India at The Taj Bengal hotel on February 16, 2015.
The IOT would generate big data that would have to be analyzed and stored securely across various domains. Thus the question of Cyber Security becomes very important which the seminar would address.
INTER-COLLEGE IT QUIZ: COMPASS would organize an Inter-College IT Quiz in which avid quizzers from 60 plus leading colleges would participate.
GAMING COMPETITION: The popular action-packed Man vs Machine competition is expected to attract 2000-plus gamers and techno-hobbyists from across India.
WORKSHOPS: COMPASS 14-15 Tech Fair would hold workshops on Social Marketing, Online Security, Digital Art, Photography and on other topics. The idea is to familiarize the visitors with the mechanisms and impart knowledge about the gadgets and IT trends that rule our lives.
