Online learning platform Coursera has announced localized pricing to make world-class content and AI-powered tools more accessible and affordable across India. The new launch, according to the company, is a major step towards its aim to help learners ace top skills to grow their careers. In addition, learners will also get free access to Community Impact Courses on urgent social needs such as mental health, refugee support, and public health. Financial aid is also announced for eligible learners.
Coursera’s new localized pricing in India includes professional certificates and specializations starting at Rs 1,699 per month, which is up to 60 per cent less costly. Similarly, Coursera Plus has a monthly subscription at Rs 2,099 and an annual subscription at Rs 13,999.
“As one of our fastest-growing and most engaged learner markets, India is at the heart of our mission. The new course preview experience makes learning more engaging from day one, offering learners a richer way to explore content, while our localized pricing ensures it’s more accessible nationwide,” said Greg Hart, CEO of Coursera.
With 31 million learners, India is Coursera’s second-largest market globally and the global leader in GenAI course enrolments, surpassing 3 million to date. The latest launch is part of Coursera’s global rollout across more than 100 countries.
