Cruelty Against Social Media Increases
In a recent release by white house, U.S. President Donald Trump latest attack comes after his claims to have seen negative news stories about himself on Google. What is the fact behind this, remain as the question. Does the Internet and social media able to promote the news on their wish, with the name of freedom of speech.
Trump warns Google, Facebook, Twitter to be careful, after recently accusing internet and social media firms of political bias and censorship, without providing evidence.
As per the report, I think what Google and what others are doing, if you look at what’s going on with Twitter, if you look at what’s going on with Facebook, they better be careful because you can’t do that to people,” he said in remarks at the White House.
Secondly, the president addressed Google and other platforms from the White House, having previously claimed that the search engine was "treading on very, very troubled territory" along with Twitter and Facebook. It’s not fair to large portions of the population.”
Google, which quit China’s search engine market in 2010, has been actively seeking ways to re-enter China where many of its products are blocked by regulators.
Both Facebook and Twitter have denied partisan censorship in separate congressional testimonies, while Google responded to the president’s accusations on Tuesday in a statement saying the search engine is “not used to set a political agenda and we don’t bias our results towards any political ideology."
Mr President alleged in a tweet on Tuesday that search results for the term "Trump News" were "RIGGED" by the "National Left-Wing Media," without offering any direct evidence to support the accusations.
The British government has repeatedly criticized online platforms such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook for failing to remove abusive material or sexual content posted online even after they were notified.
"Google & others are suppressing voices of Conservatives and hiding information and news that is good,” he continued. "They are controlling what we can & cannot see. This is a very serious situation-will be addressed!"
The White House then reportedly launched a probe into Google, which is owned by Alphabet Inc. “We don’t want regulation, we want fairness," the president said, when asked whether he supports regulating social media.
“I think what Google and what others are doing, if you look at what’s going on with Twitter, if you look at what’s going on with Facebook, they better be careful because you can’t do that to people,” Mr. President said in remarks at the White House.
However,the new age social networking culture has been well accepted and has met an enthusiastic response and acceptance.The extensive use of Social Networking in India has been on the rise among the new generation youths and with the rise of social media the viewership of Television also decreases at the global level.
