Dell India unites women business owners
2013-05-18Dell India has organized the ‘Women Founders Breakfast’ in Bangalore in association with Paul Writer to highlight the positive impact women have on businesses. The event is a precursor to DWEN 2013, which revolves around the theme of ‘Pay it Forward’ to show the unique ‘multiplier effect’ that female entrepreneurs can have not only on their own communities but also on the global economy. Dell’s end goal is to accelerate opportunities for women business owners through improved access to knowledge, technology, capital and networks helping them grow and benefitting the communities where they live and work.
The Women Founders Breakfast was initiated as a platform for Women Entrepreneurs in India to share their entrepreneurial experiences and best practices to help each other grow and thrive and capitalize on the opportunity to network. Attended by over 30 women entrepreneurs, the event featured an enriching peer to peer session covering a variety of issues critical to fast-growing businesses.
Ritu Gupta, Marketing Director, Dell India said “Dell has a long term objective of supporting Women Entrepreneurship community globally. In India we want to connect women entrepreneurs with each other by building a network, both on ground and online, for them to build relationships and leverage business opportunities. DWEN is a unique event that gathers, helps and promotes enterprising women who are bringing new and compelling products and services into the market. This focus gives Dell a platform to accelerate the increasingly powerful role women play in driving economic growth. By engaging in close relationships with these enterprising women we aim to support their business with end-to-end technology solutions that scales as these companies grow.”
The goal of DWEN 2013 “Pay it forward” is to harness the power of network members and Dell leaders to positively impact women’s entrepreneurship around the world.
