Dell Technologies has announced that more partners across Asia Pacific & Japan (APJ) would be able to offer Dell Financial Services (DFS) flexible consumption models - Flex on Demand and Pay As You Grow - to help reduce financial risks for customers with changing infrastructure requirements. Partners in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea will now be able to offer the flexible consumption models to customers, in addition to partners in Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
The flexible consumption offerings will help partners by improving financing, earning more incentives, and establishing greater control over the entire sales campaign and margin.
More importantly, the model will deliver flexible, simple, and predictable ways for partners to help customers adopt emerging technologies to thrive in the digital economy.
“Gone are the days where customers would set aside large capital investments for technology procurements,” said Tian Beng Ng, senior vice president and general manager, Channel, APJ, Dell Technologies. “The uncertainty in technologies needed today versus in a year, or two later means that customers are looking for more flexibility. We are seeing a transformation in how customers want to consume and pay for technologies today. We are continuously refining our portfolio to meet the needs of customers, and the flexible consumption models will help IT leaders adopt the best technologies that will suit their business needs. We’re thrilled that more partners can now participate in positioning the flexible models and drive higher revenue services.”
Dell Technologies currently provides flexible consumption options for most products, including the newly announced Dell Technologies Cloud Platforms.
DFS Flex on Demand
Available for all Dell Technologies storage solutions and several storage products, Flex on Demand lets customers pay only for the storage capacity needed, which reduces costs associated with overprovisioning. Importantly, Flex on Demand provides instant access to additional buffer capacity during spikes driven by the business, with payments adjusting to match actual usage. DFS offers a low capacity commitment and a flexible payment period so customers may pay only for what is consumed, freeing up budgets for other projects.
The program is currently available in Australia, New Zealand & Japan.
DFS Pay As You Grow
Dell Pay As You Grow allows customers to grow at their own pace with customized payment solutions to support forecasted growth, flexible deployment schedules, and pre-provisioned upgrades. Pay As You Grow helps customers with long procurement cycles and provides peace of mind, without worrying about inadequate storage capacity as it allows for buffer capacity for customers.
The program is currently available in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand & Korea.
“We have seen that partners who finance with DFS have historically grown two times faster with Dell Technologies than those who do not finance with DFS,” said Darren Fedorowicz, vice president, Dell Financial Services. “The solutions we offer through DFS support multi-vendor hardware, software and services, giving partners a competitive advantage with their customers.”
To support partners in adapting to customers’ new IT consumption models, Dell Technologies is also offering end-to-end channel financing for partners. Partners can realize benefits through the Dell Working Capital Solutions program in the form of adaptive credit capacity. This gives partners the flexibility to scale up and down on credit limit – based on business dynamic and seasonality. It also provides extended payment terms to partners. It helps partners manage cash flow and win bigger solutions & complex deals.
“To be able to offer flexible consumption models to our customers and in that process, drive up revenue for ourselves is a game-changer. Not only did we manage to resolve customers’ problems around underutilization of storage capacity, we also managed to ensure predictability in our costs. More importantly, we had the autonomy and flexibility to design and structure Dell’s product offerings in a way that works for the customers and us,” said Ken Chua, Executive Director, PTC System (S) Pte Ltd.
