The defence order from the Ministry of Defence includes supply of drones, simulator systems and lab equipment, along with specialised training for Army personnel, to be completed within three months.
DroneAcharya Aerial Innovations Limited has secured a domestic contract worth ₹22,91,200 from the Indian Army under the Ministry of Defence. The work order, awarded on February 11, 2026, covers the supply of drones, drone laboratory equipment and simulator systems.
The agreement also mandates the company to conduct specialised training programmes for Army personnel, ensuring effective deployment and operational readiness. According to the contract terms, the complete delivery of equipment and training services is scheduled to be executed within a period of three months.
Strengthening indigenous defence capabilities
The order marks another step in the company’s expanding engagement with India’s defence and security sector. By undertaking the project, DroneAcharya aims to reinforce its execution track record while strengthening its order book.
The development aligns with the government’s broader push to encourage indigenous manufacturing and advanced technology adoption in defence. By supplying aerial platforms along with supporting laboratory infrastructure and simulation-based training, the company is contributing to capacity building within the armed forces.
Industry observers note that such contracts not only boost domestic drone innovation but also help create a more self-reliant defence ecosystem. With increasing emphasis on unmanned systems in modern warfare and surveillance, the integration of training and technology under a single contract is seen as a strategic move toward operational efficiency.
