Energous Corp., a leader in over-the-air (OTA) wireless power networks, has introduced the e-Sense tag—a battery-free, maintenance-free wireless sensor purpose-built for location and temperature monitoring in the retail, logistics, and supply chain industries. This launch is a significant step forward in enabling ambient IoT systems, where sensors operate independently of battery limitations or wired connections.

The Energous e-Sense tag operates using harvested energy from the company’s wireless RF-based energy network, eliminating the need for traditional power sources. At just 4x5 cm, the tag is compact, fully waterproof, and designed for reusability in high-volume, operationally complex environments.

When paired with Energous’ RF energy transmitters and e-Compass cloud software, the e-Sense tag becomes a critical component of a complete ambient IoT platform.
