"Fake news" and information warfare was not a term many people used four years ago, but it is now seen as one of the greatest threats to democracy, threat of global annihilation,
to episodes of violence between castes and religions, interfering with public policies. The mission of fake news content isn't typically for financial gain — or at least not completely for profit — but rather for luring visitors in via clickbaiting and then getting content consumers to virally spread the false information or hoax news.
India is hited harder by fake news because the country lacked media policy for verification. To tackle the menace of fake news in Kashmir, Amir Ali Shah, a youth from south Kashmir' Anantnag district has developed a website called "Stop Fake in Kashmir" where news and facts can be verified. The website is the first of its kind developed in the Kashmir valley.
