FlipKark launches Tablets in India
2014-07-07FlipKart has launched its first ever tablet in the Indian market under DigiFlip brand. The new device called DigiFlip Pro is a 7 inch touch screen tablet running on Android OS. Its the first ever mobility product coming from a firm that has so far been regarded as an e-commerce portal and was a pure online retail channel.
The entry of FlipKart into developing its own smart device puts it into the league of Amazon that sells e-readers under the brand name Kindle.
The FlipKart Digiflip Pro uses a Mediatek Quadcore 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 processor, has 1 GB RAM and comes with an internal storage capacity of 16GB. The storage capacity however can be expanded upto 32 GB. The Digiflip Pro is a dual SIM device with calling capacity.
It also offers 5 megapixel rear camera with flash and auto focus, and a 2 megapixel front camera. The online retail firm has provided a 3000 mAh battery with the tablet and kept its price at Rs 9999.
The Digiflip tablet will be available in two colours – black and white- and will solely be available at FlipKart portal. The company also said that with the purchase of this tablet customers can avail additional discount of Rs5000 on purchases on FlipKart for other products.
