Flock launches host of new features
With several organisations continuing to allow ‘work from home’ for their employees, even post the lockdown, Flock, the leading workplace communication and collaboration platform has launched four new features to make communication seamless across teams and departments and to provide users with an enhanced work from home experience.
Zoom is everywhere-from office meetings to webinars, to house parties-and now, in Flock. We’re excited to introduce a smooth integration with Zoom that allows users to join their next Zoom video conference directly from within Flock.
Collaboration is at the core of Flock and your meetings are now way easier to access with our new Zoom integration.
Features like Voice Notes, Dark Mode, and the new updates announced have all been driven by user suggestions. Now, users can request the features they want to see in Flock right within the app itself. The new Flock Feedback tool takes the user’s feature request and sends it straight to Flock’s product team. You don’t have to email and wait for someone to respond.
# Video recording
With the rise in remote work due to the pandemic, Flock saw an 800% jump in video calls. Evidently, video calling is more important than ever before—so to make it more useful, Flock has added Video Recording for Enterprise teams on Flock.
Enterprise users will now have the option to record every video conference from the beginning. Just type the slash command /video to launch a video call within any channel with automatic video recording, and the rest will be taken care of. After the call ends, one can get the recordings from Admin Controls dashboard at any time.
One can now set emoji and Flock stickers as their Channel avatar. This means a clearer distinction between channels, and perhaps some fun competition for whose channel has the best avatar. Flock celebrates diversity and believes that birds of different feathers should Flock together. They are now supporting skin tone options for emoji in Flock Channels.
