At the Security Today Knowledge Summit 2025, Bharadwaj Naik, Chief Revenue Officer of Videonetics, unveiled a bold vision for safeguarding India’s critical infrastructure with AI-powered video analytics and intelligence-driven security frameworks. Speaking on the panel “Invisible but Vulnerable – Safeguarding India's Maritime, Digital & Energy Lifelines”, Naik emphasized the urgent need to move beyond traditional surveillance systems towards predictive security solutions that address emerging threats.
With more than two decades of expertise in telecommunications, networking, and security solutions across India, APAC, and the Middle East, Naik highlighted vulnerabilities in maritime security, digital infrastructure, and energy assets. He warned:
“A single intrusion at a landing station or refinery can disrupt trade, connectivity, and national security. Traditional surveillance is not enough; only intelligence-led security can protect lifeline infrastructure.”
Videonetics has already deployed its AI-powered security solutions at scale, protecting 80+ airports, 150 smart cities, and 100+ enterprises including refineries and industrial hubs. The company’s AI video analytics platform transforms raw video into actionable intelligence, enabling real-time intrusion detection, anomaly recognition, and sabotage prevention.
Naik explained, “In lifeline security, every second counts. AI-driven video analytics buys those critical seconds — often the difference between disruption and resilience.”
He also warned of risks to India’s digital backbone, noting that compromised submarine landing stations in Mumbai could cripple internet connectivity and data flow. Passive surveillance and manpower, he stressed, are no longer sufficient to address such cyber-physical security challenges.
Videonetics’ critical infrastructure protection framework is built on four key pillars:
● Perimeter Security – Intrusion and threat detection at high-risk facilities.
● Integrated Situational Awareness – AI video analytics integrated with access control, IoT sensors, and radar systems.
● Predictive Risk Detection – Early anomaly detection to prevent escalation.
● Rapid Response & Business Continuity – Command-center integration to cut incident response time from hours to seconds.
Global case studies validate this model. The Singapore Maritime Port Authority reduced manual monitoring by 40% using AI-powered surveillance, while refineries and ports in the Middle East have adopted Videonetics’ smart surveillance solutions for stronger resilience.
Naik stressed the importance of collaboration between defense forces, policymakers, and technology providers. He added, “True resilience requires synergy. Sharing AI-driven surveillance data in real time with naval command is the future of national security.”
Concluding his address, Naik positioned Videonetics as a trusted partner in building next-generation security architecture for India. “The future of infrastructure protection lies in shifting from vulnerability to preparedness. AI-powered video analytics is now the foundation of resilient security frameworks worldwide.”
