Abu Dhabi based technology firm G42 and Credo AI have signed an MoU to accelerate the adoption of Responsible AI frameworks across the Global South, as artificial intelligence deployment expands rapidly across emerging markets.
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, which brought together policymakers, technology leaders, and industry executives to focus on translating AI innovation into real-world impact.
Under the MoU, the two organisations will collaborate to move Responsible AI beyond high-level principles toward operational, scalable governance practices, particularly in regions marked by diverse regulatory regimes, institutional capacities, and societal priorities. The partnership aims to help governments and enterprises embed trust, accountability, and risk controls directly into AI systems as they scale adoption.
“As AI adoption accelerates globally, innovation and governance must advance together,” said Andrew Jackson, Group Chief AI Officer at G42. “When trust is engineered into AI systems from the start, deployment becomes smoother and adoption happens faster. This partnership is about enabling trusted AI at scale so innovation can deliver meaningful economic and societal outcomes.”

Credo AI CEO Navrina Singh said enterprises expanding AI deployments—especially agentic AI systems capable of autonomous decision-making—require governance that is measurable and enforceable. “Responsible AI is becoming a competitive differentiator. Organisations that govern AI well will be able to deploy it further and faster,” she said.
G42 has positioned itself as a global proponent of Responsible AI through initiatives such as the Responsible AI Future Foundation, launched with Microsoft, its Frontier AI Safety Framework, and participation in international efforts including the World Economic Forum’s AI Governance Alliance and the Bletchley Declaration. The company has also published transparency and governance compendiums outlining its AI practices.
Credo AI, which pioneered the AI governance category in 2020, provides a continuous governance platform used by Fortune 500 companies to align AI systems with frameworks such as the EU AI Act, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and ISO/IEC 42001.
The collaboration will explore the development of practical governance models, AI risk monitoring tools, and education programmes aimed at policymakers and professionals, supporting responsible AI deployment across emerging economies.
The partnership aligns with the India AI Impact Summit’s broader objective of ensuring that AI innovation delivers inclusive, trustworthy, and scalable outcomes for diverse global populations.
