In a change over the leadership in MAIT, the apex ICT association in the country.George Paul to replace Anwar Shirpurwala as the CEO, MAIT. MAIT is a trade body and is recognized by both government and the Industry for its role in the growth and development of the IT Hardware industry in India. MAIT has been very supportive to the government stakeholders’ across the bouquet - Make in India, Digital India, Skill India, Startup India and others.
The Indian IT hardware manufacturing sector has come a long way and is at an inflection point. MAIT remains committed and focused on promoting manufacturing, supporting ease of running a business and stimulating demand generation.
George is a business leader with over 30 Yrs of experience in industry sectors of, Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing Services & Aerospace. Extensive experience in the functional domains of Integrated Marketing, Customer Service Delivery, Product Engineering and R&D, Mechatronics & Aerospace Manufacturing, Repair Factory Operations, Knowledge Management & Training. George has solid experience in service Delivery pan India to B2B & B2C customers segments. Delivering a service portfolio of Managed Services, Facilities Management, NOC Services, Warranty & Post Warranty Services,as per his linked profile. Anwar has joined in MAIT as the Executive Director on 16th October 2012.His vast experience brings to MAIT to help the Association in meeting the growing challenges being faced by the IT Hardware industry in the highly competitive global environment. Anwar has serving the MAIT nearing seven years long journey by achieving newer milestones in formulating policies for the IT companies in India and Anwar was working very closely with various departments including MeitY,DeitY and various other Ministries to raise the issues with the IT industry.
