An analysis of GlobalData’s Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Influencer Platform, which tracks over 200 leading global mobility experts, their thoughts and insights relating to emerging trends, pain areas, new fields of innovation and other popular areas on Twitter, has revealed Cities Today, a news platform on urban mobility and innovation, as the top influencer during the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2019.
Smart Mobility, a Twitter handle representing the industry events of the same name, was ranked second. AUTONOMY, the Twitter presence for the Autonomy & The Urban Mobility Summit, was ranked third.
Among the companies, Lyft was the most often cited, with ‘Transport for London’ and ‘Uber’ occupying second and third positions, respectively. Lyft’s lofty position was largely due to the high volume of interactions over the conflict between Lyft and the Transit app, where the former is not allowing riders to unlock their e-bikes through the Transit app.
