James Phillips, a former corporate vice president and president at Microsoft, joined Google Cloud as a vice president.  Phillips left Microsoft last year after spending a decade at the Redmond, Wash., tech giant where his organization grew from 300 people to more than 15,000. He led teams working on various cloud-related services and platforms, including Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and the Azure AI Platform.

Chris Vonderhaar, a longtime Amazon Web Services executive who left the company this spring, has joined AWS rival Google Cloud. His move to Google Cloud represents a significant addition to the company's leadership as it continues to build its competitive edge against other cloud service providers like AWS and Microsoft Azure. Vonderhaar's extensive experience at AWS is expected to contribute to Google Cloud's growth and strategic initiatives in the cloud market.
