There is a good news for those Indian internet users which are willing enjoy faster web browsing experience. According to a latest update, Google is planning to open a new data centre in Asia.
It is reportedly said that Indian users’ browsing experience can be faster than ever with the help of the new server. Presently, India has been ranked 112 in a list generated by a renowned web analytics firm, Akamai Technologies.
It is worth noticing here that India is one of the largest markets for the search giant. Presently, there are over 100 million users and Google enjoys a share of over 95 per cent of India's internet search market. To the reader’s surprise, Google is expecting 500 million internet users from emerging markets to come online in next few years, against just nearly 15 million from the US.
According to Lalitesh Katragadda, Country Head, India Products at Google, "Internet connectivity speed in India is not very high. These data centres will be crucial to this market due to its proximity".
"More people from India are coming online every day and this is an important market as Google looks to bring the next one billion online," Katragadda added
