GTDC ropes in Redington CEO V.S. Hariharan to its executive committee

The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) has appointed Redington Group’s Managing Director and Group CEO, V.S. (Hari) Hariharan to its Executive Committee. The committee provides operational oversight and strategic guidance to GTDC, helping shape the organization’s long-term direction, while supporting the organization’s mission to strengthen the role of distribution in the global technology ecosystem.

“Hari is a respected global IT leader and a strong advocate for distribution,” said Frank Vitagliano, CEO of GTDC. “He brings valuable insight to our leadership team and will help shape our long-term strategy and initiatives that highlight the expanding role of distributors in today’s technology ecosystem.”

GTDC’s Executive Committee plays a key role in defining the organization’s vision, develops and updates its strategic plans and advocates for its members’ common interests. The committee includes senior leaders from member distribution companies and drives the association’s mission to educate, advocate, and influence the broader technology community on the evolving role of IT distribution.

The council’s leadership team also oversees GTDC-sponsored research, executive-level regional events, and other member-led initiatives. In his new role, Hariharan will help strengthening collaboration between distributors and technology vendors, further reinforcing the value and impact of distribution across the global technology marketplace.

Hariharan brings more than 27 years of experience spanning sales, marketing, and operations across global, regional, and country-level leadership roles, including positions at HP and Wipro Technologies. As Managing Director and Group CEO of Redington, he oversees operations across 38 emerging markets and supports more than 290 global IT and mobility brands.
