HCLTech has partnered with U.S.-based cybersecurity firm Rubrik to unveil VaultNXT, a multi-layered data protection and recovery platform aimed at helping enterprises defend against ransomware and ensure business continuity.
The new offering leverages Rubrik Security Cloud to safeguard enterprise, cloud, and SaaS data while enabling detection, containment, and rapid recovery from cyber incidents. Built on an immutable architecture, VaultNXT is designed to prevent malware from altering backups and incorporates AI-driven monitoring for ransomware activity.
“Indian enterprises are facing increasingly complex cloud environments and relentless cyberattacks. Prevention alone is no longer enough,” said Ashish Gupta, Managing Director, India & Head of Engineering at Rubrik. “VaultNXT powered by Rubrik delivers centralized control and visibility across an organization’s data landscape, enabling a holistic 360-degree cybersecurity strategy.”
Rampal Singh, Senior Vice President & Global Business Head for Hybrid Cloud, Application Operations and Mainframe Services at HCLTech, said the solution reflects the growing need for resilience. “Ransomware has become more destructive and pervasive. With VaultNXT and our comprehensive security services, we can ensure stringent recovery processes and seamless protection for customers.”
Among its key features, VaultNXT offers AI/ML-driven ransomware detection, sensitive data monitoring, turbo threat hunting to scan thousands of backups in minutes, threat containment through quarantining infected data snapshots, and automated recovery of applications and identities.
The launch comes as enterprises grapple with escalating cyber risks. Rubrik’s 2025 State of Data Security Report revealed that 90% of IT and security leaders experienced a cyberattack in the past year, with data breaches (30%) and malware infections (29%) among the most common threats.
By combining advanced detection with orchestrated recovery, HCLTech and Rubrik aim to provide enterprises not just with stronger defenses, but also the ability to rapidly rebound from cyber incidents while maintaining data integrity and operational continuity.
