HID Global has announced expansion of its Genuine HID card printer and encoder portfolio with the launch of its new FARGO DTC1000M Monochrome Printer/Encoder. The DTC1000M provides organizations with a solution that is cost-effective to own and operate and offers a low total cost of ownership.

The printer offers a range of consumables options. For cost-conscious organizations, the DTC1000M is shipped with a refill ribbon cartridge. When ease-of-use is paramount, HID Global also offers a full range of disposable ribbon cartridge options. In addition, the DTC1000M connects quickly via USB or optional Ethernet port and the embedded Swift ID application enables users to start printing cards immediately with no software licensing cost. For magnetic stripe cards, an optional module enables inline, one-step encoding and card printing.
