
VMworld, San Francisco, Calif.– Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced the expansion of its partnership with VMware to offer VMware Cloud Foundation as a Service. Hewlett Packard Enterprise used the VMworld conference as a platform to take direct aim at rival Dell by unleashing VMware’s Cloud Foundation as a Service on HPE GreenLake.
VMware and HPE have a long history of co-innovation, with this they are enabling customers to bring the cloud experience to their data center. Through the integration, the two companies allow mutual customers to keep all their applications, tools and data in-place, while achieving the benefits of cloud and composable infrastructure
Through HPE GreenLake, mutual customers can benefit from a fully managed hybrid cloud environment in which they only pay for what they consume.This dramatically improves the value enterprise customers experience from a hybrid cloud environment, including agility and speed of composability,while achieving the benefits of cloud and composable infrastructure.
Through HPE GreenLake, mutual customers can benefit from a fully managed hybrid cloud environment in which they only pay for what they consume, customers can see 30% in savings in capital expenditures by eliminating the need to over provision their infrastructure, a 65% percent drop in the time it takes to deploy IT projects and a 90% percent drop in support and professional services costs.
The solution is compatible across on and off premises data centers, simple to operate and supports VMs and containers. This dramatically improves the value enterprise customers experience from a hybrid cloud environment, including agility and speed of composability, ability to shift resources from managing infrastructure to innovation.
The GreenLake VMware Cloud Foundation as-a-service offering comes with the enterprise Infrastructure-as- a-Service battle to increase among Dell and HPE . HPE said the new GreenLake VMware Cloud Foundation service will be available in 45 days. Michael Dell, Dell CEO is very clear in bringing the technology to a platform by maintaining VMware’s independent status by expanding the partnership with HPE. “It clearly seems Dell is doing the right thing,” For this reason Dell is keeping VMware independent.
