Huawei revenues up to 30% despite US ban

Huawei has announced its business results for the first half of 2019. The company’s net profit margin for H1 2019 was 8.7 per cent despite an effective US boycott. As per the report, Huawei has made $32.2 billion in revenue in the quarter of April-June 2019 with an increase of 23 percent over the previous quarter despite the ban by the US -China trade war by reported selling 118 million smartphones in the first half of the year — 59 million in each quarter — representing a 24 percent year-on-year increase, though the growth was accounted for in the first quarter. Secondly, Huawei’s consumer business reached $32.1 billion in revenue for the same period, making up 55 percent of the company’s total sales.
Liang Hua,chairman said,“Given the foundation we laid in the first half of the year, we continue to see growth even after we were added to the entity list. That’s not to say we don’t have difficulties ahead. We do, and they may affect the pace of our growth in the short term. Operations are smooth and the organisation is as sound as ever – with “effective management and an excellent performance across all financial indicators, Huawei’s business has remained robust in the first half of 2019
Lastly,as Huawei is now downplaying the idea that its homegrown Hongmeng operating system could serve as a drop-in replacement for Google’s Android on its smartphones. Now, The UK and other European countries are yet to decide whether Huawei will be allowed to supply 5G infrastructure.
