Telangana Govt has signed a Rs 3,500 crore MoU with ST Telemedia to establish an AI ready data centre in Hyderabad. The AI-ready data centre, to be established at an investment of ₹3,500 crore, will have a targeted capacity of up to 100 MW, along with ample scalability for future growth, making it one of the largest data centre projects in the country.

"Telangana strengthens its position as a global tech hub. ST Telemedia Global Data Centres India has signed an MoU with the Telangana Government to establish a state-of-the-art data centre campus in Hyderabad's Meerkhanpet. With an investment of Rs 3,500 crore, the AI-ready campus will have a capacity of up to 100 MW, becoming one of India's largest data centre projects," the CMO announced on X (formerly known as Twitter).
According to the CMO, the expansion will accelerate India's digital transformation and AI-led growth, with STT GDC's vision for the next decade, which includes a 1GW design capacity across India and an investment of USD 3.2 billion.

The Hyderabad data center will focus on delivering advanced capabilities tailored for Artificial Intelligence infrastructure, including high-speed computing, massive data storage, and seamless cloud integration. By fostering a reliable and scalable environment for AI workloads, the data center will not only cater to businesses but also attract global technology giants and startups looking to leverage Hyderabad’s strategic location and innovative ecosystem. As the city continues to emerge as a focal point for AI growth, this data center innovation represents a significant step in cementing Hyderabad's position as a critical driver in India's AI journey.
