Vodafone had signed an over $400-million, five-year outsourcing contract with IBM in 2007. The contract was to expire next year.According to market buzz, the companies had agreed last month to restructure the contract estimated at $800mn to $1bn. Both the companies now have agreed to renew the contract approximately $1 billion to manage information technology systems of Vodafone's Indian unit until 2017.
