2021-04-10
The apex body that represents the Indian Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM) industry has chaired Rajeev Khushu, Director Corporate Affairs, and Government Relations of Texas Instruments India (TI) as the chairman for the year 2021-22. He has an industry experience of over two decades and has been previously associated with companies like Siemens, and Atmel, before joining TI in 2006.
At Texas Instruments, Khushu has held several senior leadership positions and helped establish the company’s sales and application team in India.
Khushu has been an active participant in several IESA initiatives such as Electropreneur parks (EP), Semiconductor Fabless Accelerator Lab (SFAL), and Intelligent Electronics Readiness Indicator (IE).
“With favorable policies in the pipeline, the next five years will present several opportunities for the country to emerge as a leading producer of hardware, ranging from 5G infrastructure equipment, industrial and defence electronics to EV and medical devices. I look forward to building on this momentum, and collaborating with key stakeholders across government, industry, and start-ups to create a strong ecosystem for semiconductors and electronics in India,” said Rajeev Khushu, on his appointment.
The association said that Khushu will be responsible in strengthening initiatives such as increasing global and regional manufacturing presence in India; accelerating the path from ideation, and policy formation to on-the-ground execution.
“His vision is to leverage the Semiconductor Design talent in the country to help create a robust and holistic ecosystem,” it said.
