The India Gaming Show 2024, a collaborative effort between the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Indian Digital Gaming Society (IDGS), supported by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Invest India, and Media Entertainment Skill Council, has begun with the participation of 10 countries including India. Held from March 14 to March 16, 2024, at the Messe Global Laxmi Lawns in Pune, Maharashtra, the event aims to showcase the latest developments and trends in the gaming industry.
Pune, known for its vibrant startup ecosystem and top engineering colleges, serves as an ideal location for the gaming show, with around 50 gaming companies operating from the city. Mr. Rajan Navani, President of IDGS, expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting India's significant role in the global gaming market, which is projected to reach USD 665.77 billion by 2030.
The India Gaming Show 2024 promises an engaging experience for gaming enthusiasts, featuring workshops, panel discussions, and fireside chats conducted by industry experts. Topics include the impact of gamification on education, the dynamics of the gaming influencer industry in India, the economics of esports, and the future of PC/console gaming in India.
With participation from countries like Australia, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea, the event aims to promote gaming and educate people about the industry's scope. Leading gaming firms will showcase the latest gaming accessories, software, and hardware, while competitive gamers can participate in thrilling esports tournaments across various platforms.
