The third edition of the India Internet Governance Forum (IIGF-2023) is set to take place on December 5, 2023. The event, following the success of its predecessors in 2021 and 2022, will explore crucial topics under the overarching theme "Moving Forward – Calibrating Bharat’s Digital Agenda."
As a hybrid event, IIGF-2023 will bring together stakeholders to discuss and deliberate on key issues, including building a secure, trusted, and resilient cyberspace for Bharat, enabling innovation for India’s developmental goals, bridging divides, and leadership for global digital governance and cooperation.
The in-person event is scheduled at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on December 5, 2023, from 09:00 to 18:30 IST.
The inaugural session, from 10:00 to 11:30 IST, will feature the esteemed presence of Minister of State for Electronics & Information Technology and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, Shri Rajeev Chandrasekhar. Shri S Krishnan, Secretary, Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY), will deliver a special address, and Shri Sushil Pal, Joint Secretary, MeitY, will provide the welcome address.
Dignitaries from international organizations, including the United Nations Internet Governance Forum (IGF) and Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), along with representatives from civil society, private sector, technical community, think tanks, and industry associations, will engage in various panel discussions throughout the day.
The IIGF-2023 is a significant step in shaping the digital landscape of Bharat and fostering global cooperation in digital governance.
