Internet users, who are accessing the web through mobile devices including smartphones and tablets and dongles in India, are continuously increasing. According to the latest report generated by IAMAI, mobile Internet users in India are expected to reach to a benchmark of 165 million by March 2014.
The report generated by Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) further revealed that the number of mobile Internet users is expected to reach a milestone of 87 million by December 2012 from 78.7 million users in October 2012.
Further, it is said that the number is expected to reach 92.9 million by March 2013, 130.6 million by March 2014 and 164.8 million by March 2015.
As far as the expenses to access Internet on mobile devices are concerned, people are spending nearly Rs.198 towards Internet expenses out of their average monthly bill of Rs.460.
Industry experts added that social networking services (SNS), Email and messengers have high usage among mobile Internet users, which is basically causing increase in Internet usage. E-ticketing and e-banking are other services which are continuously increasing.
