According to the latest update, Infosys(NYSE:INFY) has won the prestigious CII-ITC "Sustainability Significant Achievement" award in Category “A” for Large Business Organizations (with turnover of above Rs.500 crore). This award recognizes Infosys’ efforts towards deployment of sustainability policies and processes.
The awards were announced at a formal presentation ceremony in New Delhi on January 14, 2013. Hon'ble President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, presented the awards to the winning organizations. Srikantan Moorthy, SVP & Head of Education & Research, Infosys, received the award on behalf of the company.

The annual CII-ITC Sustainability Awards are conferred on Indian businesses that demonstrate excellent performance in the area of sustainable development. The Sustainability Awards instituted in 2006 by the CII-ITC Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Development are aimed at recognizing exemplary performance in economic, social and environmental dimensions of Indian business.
