With the theme “Transform and Evolve,†ISODA concluded its 5th Tech Summit in Colombo, the city of land and water in Sri Lanka. The summit took place from 5th to 7th February 2015.
ISODA organizes its annual summit on technology every year to empower its members about the upcoming technology. With technology taking leaps and bounds in transformation and evolution, the VAR community was in line with it during the summit. ISODA witnessed that the entire IT industry was on the side of transformation and evolution with disruptive technologies like cloud, virtualization, big data, mobility, BYOD introducing new challenges and avenues for the vendors and partners.

During the Media Round and Panel Discussion at the Tech Summit, there were technology discussions, presentations by various OEMs from the field of Software and security industry. The discussion coverered areas such as SMAC and security. The discussion went deep into these areas and concluded that independently SMAC has got a huge potential in Social, Mobility, Analytics and Cloud. Not a single industry can perform without it, be it IT or non-IT; they have to ride on these four wheels. It paves an opportunity for the Partners as everyone wants to move online and have their presence in Cloud. Here the channel partners will play a major role as they will remove the gap by providing technology. In SMAC, Security is embedded into it. There is a real issue on security which the partner eco-system needs to understand.
