Jio Platforms Limited has appointed Dan Bailey as President, Jio Platforms, to spearhead its international business initiatives. Based in London, Bailey will report to Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited.
Bailey brings over 35 years of experience in consulting and investment banking. He has held senior roles at Schroders/Citi, Morgan Stanley and HSBC, and most recently served as Chairman of Deutsche Bank’s TMT practice. Over his career, he has advised leading global corporates and financial sponsors on major telecom and technology transactions.
He will join Jio Platforms’ Executive Committee and contribute across strategic initiatives as the company looks beyond India for its next phase of growth.
At its recent AGM, Jio outlined plans to expand its digital platforms and technology capabilities globally. Over the past decade, the company has built an all-IP 4G and 5G network and developed an integrated ecosystem spanning connectivity, devices, applications and content.
Welcoming Bailey, Ambani said his global experience and industry relationships would help drive Jio’s international ambitions. Bailey said he looks forward to taking Jio’s India success story to global markets.
