Kaspersky Lab rates 94% efficiency in SMB Anti-Virus Protection Test

Kaspersky Lab has announced that its Kaspersky Small Office Security solution has been rated in the top three effective security solutions for its class by Dennis Technology. The new solution took second place in the Small Business Anti-Virus Protection April – June 2013 test conducted by Dennis Technology Labs. Kaspersky Small Office Security returned a 94% effectiveness rating, earning it the AA grade in Dennis Technology Labs’ classification.

During the testing, Kaspersky Lab’s product missed just 2 out of 100 threats (against an average of 6.2) and generated two false positives (against an average of 5.4).

Security solutions for home offices must be easy to use, meaning they cannot demand specialist IT support because not all organizations of this size can afford specialist staff. At the same time, they must provide high levels of protection against cyber-threats which may threaten ‘home’ businesses.
