Kaspersky Lab’s flagship products clears Independent Testing
Kaspersky Lab has reported that its Internet Security 2014, Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business and Kaspersky Small Office Security products have produced the best results in the latest round of Dennis Technology Labs quarterly independent testing (Oct–Dec 2013) in their respective categories.
Kaspersky Internet Security 2014 has scored 1,030 points out of a possible 1,048, the best performance of all nine competing solutions in the test category for home products. It successfully protected the test system from 99 out of 100 malicious samples and scored the maximum 740 points in the Legitimate Software Ratings scenario that measures the rate of false positives for legitimate applications. Kaspersky Lab’s rivals averaged just 662 in the same test.
Kaspersky Small Office Security and Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business were also winners in the small business and corporate security categories respectively.
“Once again, Kaspersky Lab’s industry-leading technologies proved how effectively they can combat cyber-threats – whether at home or in the office – and highlighted their versatility when working with different kinds of user environment,” said Oleg Ishanov, Anti-Malware Research Director, Kaspersky Lab.
The tests were conducted on a system running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 SP1. Security solutions for home users were checked using the Home Premium version, and corporate and small business solutions were tested using Windows Professional.
