Kejriwal resolves E-way Bill Issue
2018-06-16Under GST, transporters should carry an eWay Bill when moving goods from one place to another when certain conditions are satisfied. It seems still the GST regulations are yet to stream line for the business continuity and absolutely, Government is also helping the traders the best possible they can and the recent regulation on GST says,
On Intra-state implementation
* E-way bill operations are compulsory for intra-state movement of goods for all states except Delhi with effect from 3rd June 2018
* Eway bill operations are compulsory for intra-state movement of goods for Andaman & Nicobar, Chandigarh, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra and Manipur from 25th May 2018
* eway bill operations are enabled on trial basis for the intra-state movement of goods for Odisha from 23rd May 2018
* Roll out of e-Way Bill system for intra-State movement of goods in the States / Union Territory of Arunachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Sikkim and Puducherry from 25 April 2018.
Since E-way bill introduced almost every business entrepreneur (dealer/retailers) were facing the business loss on account of confusion in regards to compulsory E-way Bill for invoice above than 50,000/-. This was creating a huge chaos among the business traders, which caused huge business loss eventually loss in revenue of Government. In a recent move, All Delhi Computer Traders Association (ADCTA), appreciate the sincere efforts of Arvind Kejriwal, Chief minister of Delhi for escalating our requests pertain to E-way Bill issue by relief is given for exemption of E-way Bill to Business to Consumer (B2C).
Absolutely, today the Government machinery is working very fast, as per Mahinder Aggarwal,President, ADCTA said, they have send the request letter to the chief minister's office on April 2, 2018 to the Delhi Government for exemption of E-way Bill from Business to Consumer (B2C). Within short span of time (less than 50 days) Chief Minister,Delhi accepted the request and exempted the E-way Bill for B2C vide notification on F.No. 3(163)/Policy-GST.2018/298-307 dated 15-06-2018, which give huge relief to All Traders of Delhi. This prompt action of Arvind Kejriwal, proves again their commitment and understanding of problems of the traders of the business community.
