KeyPoint Technologies has introduced new features for its Adaptxt smart keyboard app that allows Android users to personalize and customize their keyboards. Smartphone and tablet users can create a keyboard look for their devices from a variety of colour combinations to choose from.
The new Adaptxt Themeboard Keyboard Customization feature lets users express their own artistic genius by selecting the colour of each keyboard element – the primary QWERTY keys, the secondary numeric and symbol keys, the background colour of the keyboard as well as the key colour. Another feature offered with the upcoming release includes letting users adjust the on-screen key height of letters being typed in a message, which makes it an ideal keyboard for small and large screen Android devices.
“We are listening to our users, who have told us they wanted the ability to customize their keyboards with personalized color schemes,” said Sumit Goswami, CEO, KeyPoint. “With Smartphones being highly popular and prevalent worldwide, it is not surprising that some users want to expand the feature set of their devices and transform their default keyboard and give it a more personal and customized touch. That is what our Themeboard Keyboard Customization does,” he added.
The current version of Adaptxt features 68 language dictionaries, from Arabic to Vietnamese, plus 35 industry-specific dictionaries for professions such as finance, legal and medical. The SMS dictionary provides more than 3,000 shorthand abbreviations – such as lol, btw, gr8 and every1 – to make typing text messages faster while keeping them from exceeding the 160-character limit.
