Kulmeet Bawa is the Vice President & Managing Director for Adobe in India & South Asia. As a business leader with cross functional experience of over 25 years, Bawa has an extensive understanding of enterprises and their needs in today’s digital era. He has a strong track record of driving strategy and helping orchestrate business transformation for organizations across various industry segments including Telecom, IT- ITES, Retail, Healthcare, Education, Banking and Finance, etc. Bawa has been instrumental in accelerating Adobe’s momentum in the Indian market since the year 2012. and has expanded the organization’s footprint across its various portfolio of solutions, specifically in Adobe’s leading Experience Cloud business.
Bawa has been instrumental in driving exponential growth within the Enterprise, SMB and Consumer businesses for Adobe with a relentless focus on driving excellence in customer experience. As a thought leader, Before joining Adobe in 2012, he has also worked with Sun Microsystems and Microsoft, where he headed sales.Prior to his corporate avatar, Bawa spent 12 years with the Indian Armoured Corps as a Cavalry officer.
India is said to be company's second largest base after North America, it is a significant geography for the company. Adobe in a statement said that it is actively in search of a new MD for India and hopes to make an announcement soon. As is the practice for several tech firms, Adobe has had two MDs, while Bawa led field operations, Shanmugh Natarajan still continues to lead R&D and products in the country.
