Lalani Infotech successfully concludes Game-o-Thon Competition

Game-o-Thon II has not only crossed barriers but set new benchmarks for the country with twelve hundred competitors and 48 hours of mad gaming in the eastern part of the country.

Only in its second year, it is already being compared with the ace gaming events in South Asia only for its size. Game-o-Thon has introduced Game-o-Thon Pro from this year that saw champion professional gamer from India Santanu Basu take on Bangladesh champion Waheed Munir.

East Bengal Harman Jyot Khabra and his Mohun Bagan counterpart Shilton Paul were present to give away the award for the pro-FIFA 2014 game champion.

Umang Lalani, Director, Lalani Infotech Ltd, said, "This is much more than what we expected. Next time, we will take it to an indoor stadium, or any other such venue like Khudiram Anushilan Kendra. This is wonderful for gaming in this part of the country. Next year, the pro-gaming section will see the top gamers from Asia converge. We were supposed to get players from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore this year only. But Visa problems and last-minute glitches prevented us. This is our second year and we are still learning."

The games played were FIFA '11, FIFA '14, Need for Speed and Cricket '07. Apart from these, Counter Strike 1.6, one of the oldest and legendary Team Games, was also played at the venue. The gaming clans swelled their presence and lightened up the scene with gaming jargons fast becoming a fad among the youngsters. This event’s platinum sponsors were AMD and GIGABYTE. Whereas, Associate Sponsors of the event were HP, D-Link, HIS, Acer, Lenovo, Philips, Sandisk, Dell, Asus and Thermaltake.
